White label auction software lets you run online auctions under your own name, logo and domain, while someone else’s software does the work underneath. Bidders see “Smith Auction Co.”, not the vendor. That’s the whole promise, and nearly every auction software company now makes it.
What varies is how much is really yours. Some vendors give you a branded skin on a hosted platform you rent month to month. Some put your logo on an app that still sits inside their bidder network. A few sell you the software itself. Those three models differ more in cost and control than any feature list does.
Three ways vendors deliver “white label”
| Model | What you get | What you give up |
|---|---|---|
| Hosted SaaS, branded | Your domain, logo and colors on the vendor’s servers. Fast setup, vendor handles updates. | Monthly fees forever. Customization limited to what the vendor offers. |
| Branded apps | Native iOS and Android apps in your name, often with live simulcast. | Usually the highest price. App release cycles depend on the vendor. |
| Licensed, self-hosted | The software on your own server. Full control of data, code changes and fees. | You pay for hosting and keep the server secure. Some vendors, including us, install and set it up for you. |
One test cuts through the marketing: ask who owns the bidder list, and what happens to it if you leave. With a genuinely white-label product, it’s your database and you can export it. If the answer involves the vendor’s marketplace or “network”, your brand is on the front but the audience isn’t yours.
Hosted white-label platforms
1. AuctionMethod
AuctionMethod gives auctioneers a branded auction website on their own domain, plus back-office tools for managing lots, consignors and bidders. It charges a flat monthly subscription. The company says there are no per-lot fees or commissions, and third-party listings show plans starting around $100 a month. A 30-day free trial is available. It suits auction companies that want something running this month and don’t want to manage servers.

2. BidWrangler
BidWrangler describes itself as a “true white-label” company that keeps its own name hidden behind the auctioneer’s brand on web and app. Like AuctionMethod, it charges a flat monthly service fee rather than a percentage of each sale, though the rate isn’t published. It fits auctioneers who want a branded mobile app without building one.

3. Auction Mobility
Auction Mobility builds branded bidding platforms for auction houses, with native iOS and Android apps, live simulcast and timed sales, and the company stresses that clients own their bidder data. It’s aimed at established auction houses rather than first-time sellers. Pricing is quoted by package, and it’s typically one of the more expensive routes in this list.

4. Maxanet
Maxanet offers a white-labeled online auction platform to auctioneers, often paired with a company website. Pricing isn’t published, so get a quote and ask specifically how fees scale with the number of auctions you run.

5. Handbid
Handbid is the nonprofit option: mobile bidding for galas and fundraising auctions, with a white-label feature that puts the charity’s brand on the bidding experience. It isn’t built for commercial auctioneers. If that’s your world, our list of Handbid alternatives compares other fundraising tools.

Licensed, self-hosted platforms
6. AuctionWorx (RainWorx)
AuctionWorx from RainWorx is sold as a licensed white-label auction platform that you can run as a single-seller site or open to multiple sellers. Software directories describe a one-time license with no commission or listing fees, and RainWorx also offers hosting and managed services. Confirm with them what the base license covers before comparing it with the hosted options.

7. PHP Pro Bid
PHP Pro Bid is one of the oldest auction scripts around and one of the cheapest ways to own your auction software, with a one-time self-hosted license and separate managed cloud and VPS plans. The catch is that its licensing and security files are ionCube-encoded, which limits how deeply a developer can change things. Fine for a standard eBay-style site, harder for unusual bidding rules. More on what to check in our auction script buyer’s guide.

8. Premium Auction Software
This is ours, so judge it accordingly. It’s a white-label auction platform that runs on your own server, installed and set up by our team, and you pay for it once: $899, $1,999 or $2,999, with no commission and no per-lot fees. It covers timed and live online auctions, proxy bidding, soft close, Buy It Now, sealed bids, dealer-only or private bidding and live simulcast. The Professional license includes 10 hours of custom development and Enterprise includes 30, plus multi-vendor selling and API access.
You’ll need your own hosting, but our team installs and sets the platform up for you as part of the license. For an auction company running two sales a month, a hosted subscription may be simpler. Once fees start to add up, owning the software usually wins.

What white label auction software really costs
Compare three years, not one month. A $300-a-month hosted plan is $10,800 over three years before any per-lot fees. A one-time license plus $40 a month of hosting is a fraction of that, but add a few hours a month of developer time if nobody on staff can handle updates. Our guide to what an auction website costs walks through the full budget, and SaaS vs. self-hosted covers the control and security side. For vendor-by-vendor numbers, see online auction software pricing.
Before you sign anything, ask every vendor the same five questions:
- Is there any fee per lot, per auction or per bidder, now or above a certain volume?
- Can I export my bidder list and auction history in a standard format?
- Does my site appear in any vendor marketplace or network?
- Can I use my own payment processor?
- Who pays for custom features, and at what rate?

Frequently asked questions
What is white label auction software?
Auction software you run under your own brand and domain, so bidders see your company rather than the software vendor.
Is white label the same as owning the software?
No. Most white-label products are hosted subscriptions with your branding on top. Owning means a license you install and control, such as a self-hosted auction platform.
How much does white label auction software cost?
Hosted platforms usually charge a monthly fee, from around $100 a month upward, and some add per-lot or per-auction fees. Licensed software is a one-time payment, typically a few hundred to a few thousand dollars, plus hosting.
Can I get a branded mobile bidding app?
Yes. Auction Mobility and BidWrangler build branded native apps. Self-hosted platforms usually rely on a mobile-friendly website, with native apps available as custom work. See our mobile auction app page.
Which white label auction software is best for a small auction company?
If you run a few sales a month and want zero technical work, a hosted option like AuctionMethod. If fees are starting to add up, or you want custom bidding rules, a licensed platform you host yourself.
